The Dothan Eagle reports that a P.E. teacher’s aide and her husband have been charged with felony marijuana possession. The school employee has resigned.

A teacher’s aide at Carver Magnet School turned in her resignation on Monday, three days after Houston County Sheriff’s deputies charged her with felony marijuana possession.

Court records show Houston County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Headland couple during a traffic stop on Friday. Records show deputies arrested Melissa Mae Culbreath, 41, and her husband, Joel Culbreath, both of Carr Circle. Both were charged with felony first-degree possession of marijuana. If convicted they each face one to 10 years in prison for the class C felony.
