Car thief discovers baby on board, then drops it off at a house before abandining the vehicle

A thief stole a car from a south side community center Wednesday night with a 6-month-old boy in the back seat. Minutes later, the thief left the infant, still secured in a car seat, on the porch of a home a few blocks away before abandoning the car on another nearby street, police spokesman Officer Christopher Levy said.

Leon Taylor, 23, told the Press-Register that he was at the home of his sister, Crystal Taylor, to watch her three children while she took a night class at Virginia College.
