After questions from the powerful Alabama Education Association, the state school board on Wednesday temporarily tabled resolutions to create a new evaluation system based on student performance and to allow new school operating rules.
The board in its K-12 capacity voted to table resolutions on educator effectiveness and new rules for what are being called innovation school systems until a May 27 work session. After that work session, the board plans to convene in a special meeting and consider voting.
