Ashford man gets 10 years in prison for molesting 9-year-old girl
Houston_County sheriff’s deputies took an Ashford man into custody on Monday after a judge denied him probation for his conviction for the sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl.
Circuit Court Judge Brad Mendheim sentenced Victor Rex Bowen to serve 10 years in prison for two sex abuse convictions involving a child under the age of 12. Mendheim ordered the sentences to be served concurrently with each other, which was part of an agreement between the prosecution and the defense. Deputies took Bowen into custody after the hearing. He had been released on a $15,000 bond for each charge.\
