The Gadsden Times reports on the economic impact of the tornado that hit Albertville this weekend.
The Municipal Utilities Board as early as Sunday morning began restoring power to Albertville after the tornado tore through the downtown area and left thousands in the dark. But much of the business area still was in the dark well into Sunday evening and some were awaiting return of services beyond Monday.
Businesses that normally are open on Sunday, including the fast-food establishments along U.S. Highway 431, took a direct hit by not being able to offer services Sunday.
