Alabama Power reported a 39 percent increase in first quarter 2010 net income compared to the first three months of 2009, according to federal financial filings.
Alabama’s largest supplier of electricity, and Southern Co. subsidiary, posted net income of $203 million for the three months ended March 31, 2010. That is up from $146 million for the same period in 2009.
