An 84-year-old Pelham man, charged with murder in the death of his 77-year-old wife, had filed for divorce in January after 38 years of marriage, court records show.

 

William Virgil Proctor had filed for divorce from his wife, Gwendolyn Elizabeth Tuggle Proctor, on Jan. 28, documents show.
