Politics and religion are one in the same.  Somewhere along the path to life we are taught to never put the two together in fear of offending someone.  In my opinion you only offend those that are to cowardly to stand up and speak the truth for themseleves.

Everyone in Alabama is against the gambeling and electric bingo that was proposed a few weeks ago. Some how people have got it in their head that it goes against christiananity we were founded on.  Yet those same people are the ones who complaine there's not enough money for education n Alabama or the deficit we have encurred.  Well, there was your oppertunity to give back to the schools to provide newer computers, better softwear, new text books, school supplies, and provided teachers with the funds they need to provide our children with the best education possible.  Alabama's deficit could be no more and we would probably loose the sterotype we've been given of "redneck", backwoods", "uneducated", "underachieved".     Honestly, your telling me no one in Alabama has ever played poker, yahtzee, spades, hearts, etc... in the privacy of their home with a few friends or even on the internet?????? Wow, people here are hypocrites.

If you want change then you have to be willing to accept it.  Your scared of defacing the religious values the South is well known for, yet you forget that we gained our religion from a country known as Europe.  Maybe, Alabama; and the entire US for that matter, should look back through their history books and then do a serch on Europe and their laws, crime rates, teen pregnancies.......find anything yet?????  Compare it to the US.....notice anything?

This is not rocket science people it's commen sense...LOGIC! It's not life or even the world that are hard it's the people in it that make it this way.
