Alabama State Troopers today were investigating a three-vehicle accident that killed a Woodland woman Thursday morning.

Mindy Adams Brown, 32, was driving her 2001 Pontiac Firebird on U.S. 431, three miles north of Wedowee, according to a release sent by Charles Dysart, public information officer for the Alabama State Troopers.

The crash occurred at 7:48 a.m. and three passengers in Brown’s car, Daylan Brown, 5-weeks-old; Elin Shelton, 3; and Bethany Green, 35, were injured in the wreck, the release stated.

Terry Sparks, Randolph County coroner, said Brown was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Sparks did not yet know Brown’s cause of death or which hospital the passengers were taken to.

The drivers of the other two vehicles were unharmed, Dysart said in the release.

State Troopers are still investigating the accident today.
