White Plains ousts Westbrook Christian in OT 56-54

WHITE PLAINS — Westbrook Christian came back from an 11-point deficit in the fourth to send its game with White Plains into overtime. Konner Amis scored all five points for the Wildcats as they beat the Warriors in overtime 56-54.

Amis finished with 28 points on the night and Chris Major and Logan Giddens both had 10 points as White Plains improved to 5-0.

Westbrook Christian’s Stephon Daniels had 16 points.

White Plains travels to Jacksonville on Saturday to take on the Golden Eagles.

Randolph County 53, Wadley 40 — At Wedowee, Nathan Boyd had a double-double in the Tigers’ first win of the season. Boyd finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Ty Sparks had 12 points and seven assists. Drew Benefield and Dontae Barrett had 10 points apiece.

For Wadley, Quay Hunter had 15 points and Chastain Battles had 13 points.

The Tigers (1-0) travel to Handley on Dec. 7.

Saks 60, Etowah 45 — The Wildcats out shot Etowah behind leading scorer Caleb Duke who had 20 points. Xavier Morgan had 15 points and seven rebounds. Mark Wilson controlled the glass for Saks, posting 11 rebounds and four points.

Saks (4-1) travels to Heflin today.

Trinity 39, Mountain View 33 — The Tigers worked pass Mountain View behind the effort of Jordan Haynes who had 21 points and 13 rebounds. Hunter Reeves helped with 10 points.

Trinity (3-2) travels to Tabernacle on Thursday.

Pleasant Valley 73, Ohatchee 51 — At Pleasant Valley, Austin Tate posted a double-double for the Raiders with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Zade Adams had 14 points and Zach Atherton had 13 points.

Caleb Vice had 21 points for Ohatchee.

The Raiders (2-2) host Weaver today.


Pleasant Valley 59, Ohatchee 17 — At Pleasant Valley, the Lady Raiders found plenty of scoring against Ohatchee as their leading scorer Jerri Johnson, had 22 points and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field.

Johnson also had three steals and was 3-for-6 from the 3-point line. Taylor Porter had 15 points and five steals. Payton Lewis was a force on the boards for Pleasant Valley (4-1) with 16 rebounds and six points.

The Lady Raiders host Weaver at home today.

White Plains 57, Westbrook Christian 51 — At White Plains, Joy Cain led the Wildcats with 14 points and five assists.

Blaire Crabtree had 12 points and 16 rebounds.MiKayla Owen added 11 points and six rebounds and Jordan Coleman had 10 points and six steals.

White Plains (4-1) plays today at Woodland.
