HANOVER — Wellborn was able to get it done on the road against Central Coosa.

They were also able to get it done on the ground to the tune of 429 yards.

“We had to go on the road and face a team we didn’t know anything about and we won,” said Wellborn coach Jeff Smith.

Chantz Goodman led the team in rushing with 157 yards on 12 attempts, but Goodman nearly split carries with Delrickus Rhoden who had 10 carries for 124 yards.

Going into the locker room at the half, it was still anyone’s game at 24-13 with Wellborn leading but they ran away with the game to finish up 42-13 in the second half.

Next week Wellborn travels to B.B. Comer.
