Helen Molen Johnson, president of the General William H. Forney Anniston Chapter No. 468 UDC Chapter, recently presented member Sherrell Daniel Cleino of Heflin with supplemental’s to honor four of her ancestors. She received one for her great-great-great-grandfather, Atlas A. Daniel, who served in Company A, 9th Georgia Battalion. One for her great-great-grandfather, George William Daniel, who served in Company E, 9th Georgia Battalion and one for her great-great-great-uncle, David P. Daniel, who served in Company K, 44th Georgia Regiment. She also received one for her great-great-grandfather, William Crumpton, who served for the Randolph County Reserves Home Guard and was a resident of Cleburne County.

This chapter meets the first Thursday of each month at the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County. Any ladies interested in learning about the UDC and honoring their heritage are invited to attend.
