Two Ohatchee teenagers were flown to UAB hospital Friday night after a car accident that occurred on Ingram Wells Road in Ohatchee around 4:10 p.m., according to an employee at the State Troopers post in Jacksonville. The employee declined to give her name.

The teenagers were identified by the employee as Scott McKenzie, 16, and Jacob Silvey, 16, both of Ohatchee.

A UAB spokesman with guest services said that the two boys are both in intensive care units but he did not know their conditions Saturday evening. The spokesman said McKenzie is in the neurological ICU and Silvey is in the trauma and burn ICU.

The boys were in a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant that ran off the road and struck a tree, according to information from the troopers post.

The employee at the troopers post said the accident was still being investigated as of Friday evening and she had no more information Saturday about it.
