Train derails in Prichard; blocks traffic on St. Stephens Road
A freight train went off the rails in Prichard this morning, sending 10 cars off the tracks, a spokeswoman with the city said in a news release.
There were no reported injuries, but the derailment stopped the train as it passed over St. Stephens Road, blocking traffic on the street, which is also U.S. 45.
