Do you believe in ghosts? I didn’t, until my great-grandpa told me the story of the Old Lady. Once there was a corner store on White’s Gap Road, and every day an old woman went to it. She wore a black dress and was really pale. Every day she came in the store, and she would buy milk with change.

Then one day these men were talking while drinking coffee and said, “Let’s follow her.” When she would come to the store, she would come out of the woods behind a graveyard.

So the man followed her up to the woods and behind the woods there was another graveyard. When the man finally looked up, she vanished into thin air. Then he got to looking and saw a little boy’s and a little girl’s grave. He also saw a woman’s grave. Around all the graves were milk jugs. The man ran back and told everyone. Then the word got out everywhere. Now everyone says they see her every once in a while, carrying milk to the kids.
