We would like to thank everyone who supported us by placing a sign in your yard, speaking on our behalf or marking one of our names on a ballot. With 27 percent more Annistonians showing up at the polls than in 2008, it was obvious that this election was important to you. We appreciate you exercising your right to vote.

With that said, we would like to congratulate Anniston Mayor-elect Vaughn Stewart on being the candidate you chose to put your confidence in. Each of us wish him well and stand ready to help him and a newly elected council if asked.

We were all candidates because of our concern for Anniston’s future, and we look forward to the opportunity to contribute to its success.
