A great big thanks to all who braved the weather and attended the 15th annual Memorial Day ceremony in Centennial Memorial Park in Anniston.

The ceremony was a huge success and I want to thank some special people who contributed to that success. Thanks to Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge for making sure the “walls” were cleaned. Thanks for the personal assistance from Calhoun County Commissioners Eli Henderson, Tim Hodges and Pappy Dunn, Judge Alice Martin and state Sen. Gerald Dial. The families are very appreciative for the love everyone showed them.

A very special thanks to Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Wayne Bishop who brought water and ice for all those in attendance. Thanks to Anniston Star photographer Trent Penny for the amazing layout of photos of the event.
