Vaughn Stewart has vision and will make things happen when he becomes mayor of Anniston. His lifelong school and community accomplishments are historical proof.

Vaughn’s ability to connect with all people and cultures promotes real and lasting improvements for those he serves. Anniston knows this, which is why “It’s Time” sounds so good. Many leaders are gifted, but few have vision.

As the Student Government Association president at the University of Alabama, Vaughn demonstrated vision by creating a free on-campus transportation service. Now, the university’s modern version embodies Vaughn’s original vision: A student with a university ID may travel. It’s that simple.

Vaughn approaches each person as an individual who has a unique and valuable perspective. He treats people with genuine respect. This earned him our classmates’ trust at Anniston High, the UA students’ trust, and it has earned him Anniston’s trust. Great things are afoot in Anniston.

Ponder this: the UA student bus system not only accomplishes Vaughn Stewart’s vision for the students, but also employs operators, maintenance staff and specific administrative staff, to mention a few. A byproduct of actualized vision is creation of jobs. It’s time, Anniston.
