If you hear local church bells ringing at noon on Wednesday, it’s an invitation to pray for the community. Interfaith Ministries of Calhoun County has asked churches that have bells to ring them every Wednesday as a call to pray for:

• Our children and young people and their schools.

• Our elderly and their caregivers.

• Those who give themselves as volunteers.

• Those facing financial hardship.

• The poor and displaced.

• Those who suffered losses in the recent storms.

• Safety in our neighborhoods and on our streets.

• Interpersonal and interracial harmony.

• Our public servants.

• Community leadership.
