School begins arts program

Cobb Elementary School recently implemented an arts program to include visual art, creative writing, drama and music. A ‘Boys Club’ was also started to generate their interest in reading. A ‘G.E.M.’ (Girls Embracing Math) program to empower the girls.

The S.G.A. (Student Government Association) will play a roll in allowing the students to have a voice in other entities. The school is also collaborating with the Boy and Girl Scouts to provide other avenues for its students to grow. The school is located at 1325 Cobb Ave., and may be reached at 256-231-5030.
