Richard Scrushy's legal team not being paid

Richard Scrushy's lawyers have been volunteering their time, according to a court filing in the civil case involving HealthSouth Corp.'s attempts to seize his assets.

Scrushy lawyer Art Leach, who successfully defended the former HealthSouth chief executive against federal criminal charges in 2005, wrote in a court document that the legal team has minimized court activity in what is known as the Wade Tucker case because it hasn't been paid.
