Bush caused a minor stir this week when he prepared for a court appearance from 20-year-old LaMarcus Ramsey, who was charged with receiving stolen property. Ramsey showed up in Bush’s courtroom with his pants ridin’ so low that it caught the judge’s attention.
The deputy Autauga district attorney told the Associated Press that Ramsey was “disrespectful” and that his drawers didn’t cover his backside.
So Bush remedied the problem.
Ramsey received a three-day stint in jail.
“I don’t think that’s the way people are supposed to conduct themselves in court,” Bush said.
That’s the truth.
Pants that cover what they’re supposed to cover are a good idea when in public — and especially when in court. We assume Calhoun County’s judges would wholeheartedly agree.
