Randall and Candy Porter of Gulf Shores (formerly of Jacksonville) announce the engagement of their daughter, Christy Lynn Porter, to Kenny Davis McKee, son of Tommy McKee and Charlotte McKee of Meridian, Miss.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Wendell Ledbetter of Anniston (formerly of Jacksonville) and the late Minerva Ledbetter.

Miss Porter is a graduate of Pleasant Valley High School and the University of South Alabama. She is employed by Alabama’s Department of Conservation in Marine Resources as a biologist.

Mr. McKee is a graduate of Meridian High School and Mississippi State University. He is employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad as a conductor.

The wedding will be 5 p.m. Oct. 20, 2012, at the beach in Gulf Shores.
