Heflin police said today that preliminary autopsy results show that two people found dead in their yard on Gray Road last month each died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

Krista Medders, 21, and Todd Robbins, 31, were found by a roommate more than a week ago. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators received the autopsy results last week. Heflin police Chief A.J. Benefield said the department is still waiting for a forensics report to determine if the shots were fired from a gun found at the scene.
