Letter writer Mark Voorhest is living in the past. He is about 30 years behind the times. Our police officers need all the help they can get to combat today’s protesters, druggies and thieves. Also, they don’t always need to reveal their identity for their protection.
Yes, it has become commonplace for our officers to be in riot gear to combat protesters, otherwise the officers would be harmed even more. There are some deranged people out there that they have to deal with. I admire and respect all of our police officers across the nation.
