Oxford running back Racean Thomas has been selected for the 27th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game on Dec. 14.

The squad, comprised of current high school seniors, was announced late Sunday night by Alvin Briggs, director of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association.

The annual contest will be played for the third straight year at Montgomery's Cramton Bowl.

Alabama holds a 19-7 edge in the series, which was played at Mobile’s Ladd-Peebles Stadium from 1988-2010. Last year’s 21-16 win was the fifth straight for Alabama.

Thomas, an Auburn commitment, has rushed for 963 yards in seven games and scored 15 touchdowns, despite dealing with two injuries in the first month of the season. He has helped Oxford win five straight after beginning the season 0-2.
