On the day after the tornado came through the Ohatchee area, the Town of Ohatchee Municipal Complex was used as a communication point for the Emergency Management Agency, county and state agencies, and volunteers.

One person in particular stood out among the people needing help and those doing the helping. She did a marvelous job of directing people to one line or the other, stacking food, clothing and water and sending people out to help people. Among all the chaos, she was cool, calm and collected. Teresa Lott is the kind of council member that Ohatchee needs to keep.
