Miss Neal is a 1989 graduate of Newberry High School and a 2008 graduate of Jacksonville State University. She is employed by the U.S. Army on active duty.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Otha Burton, formerly of Alexander City, and the late Lois B. Burton, formerly of Anniston.
Mr. Houston is a 1982 graduate of Anniston High School. He is employed by BAE Systems in field service.
The wedding will be Dec. 7, 2013, at Fort Stewart, Ga., in the main post chapel.
