Prosecutors had charged Allen Wayne Densen Morgan, 29, of Munford, with using a phone and motor vehicle with the intent to commit a murder-for-hire, according to a release sent Thursday from the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama.
Morgan was arrested Aug. 26 in Oxford after telling an undercover FBI agent he would pay him to kill another Munford man, the release states.
According to the plea agreement, Morgan told the undercover officer he “would pay them to murder a black neighbor who Morgan's wife had accused of raping her ... Morgan offered a watch, a necklace and a gun as payment for the murder and gave explicit details for the man's torture and murder.”
Morgan provided the undercover officer with a printed map to the Munford man’s home, according to the plea agreement.
An attempt today to reach U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance was unsuccessful.
Morgan’s plea agreement states he faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
