Business owners in Oxford are allowed to bring junk cars into your neighborhood.
Mayor Leon Smith said in a recent City Council meeting that Oxford has never had a problem taking care of land that it has annexed. Properties inside the city limits are junked up and the rest of us just are basically left to enjoy the view.
Who is representing the average citizens of Oxford? I would like to challenge the mayor and council members to enforce the rules that the city already has in place for business owners and citizens. We should not maintain our property and be surrounded by junk.
In Oxford, it appears that you can do what you want if you have a buddy at city hall.
The average citizen takes a back seat to the almighty sales-tax revenue. Sales tax seems to be the main concern in Oxford.
