McGinnis skillfully moves through his first book like surgery. He is a very skilled writer who must have a memory like an elephant; the details are incredible as he describes things that happened 60 or 70 years ago when he spent his summers at his “Papa’s” farm in Boaz.
Born in times when very few students entered medical school without prior relatives leading the way, McGinnis found a way to make things happen. There was little luck but a burning desire and persistence as he pursued what special thing God had in store for his life. McGinnis still has a limited practice of surgery in Anniston.
