The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Doris and Clarence Smith, formerly of Alexandria, and Mary and Odell Maxwell of Alexandria.
Miss Maxwell is a graduate of Alexandria High School and Jacksonville State University.
She is employed by Calhoun County Board of Education.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Sam and Vivian Hurst of Alexandria, and the late Evelyn and E.C. Prickett, formerly of Alexandria.
Mr. Prickett is a graduate of Alexandria High School and Jacksonville State University and attends Jacksonville State University’s nursing program.
The wedding will be 2 p.m. March 13, 2010, at Leatherwood Baptist Church.
