Sgt. Wayne Brown said a 25-year-old male was shot, at least once, outside a home on the 1800 block of Moore Avenue between 2:40 and 2:50 Saturday afternoon. Police said several shots were reportedly fired. The victim was taken to Regional Medical Center with injuries from which he is expected to recover, Brown said.
Brown was unsure of the victim’s condition this afternoon.
Police are still investigating the incident and were uncertain why the shooting occurred or how many people were involved, Brown said. Several people witnessed the shooting, Brown said, and are being questioned by police.
No other injuries were reported, the sergeant said.
