The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon d. Lawson, of The Villages, Fla., and godchild of Sara Ivey of Gadsden.
Dr. Locklear is a graduate of White Plains High School and McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University. She is employed by Publix Pharmacy in Hoover.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Dean Stein of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Mr. and Mrs. John W. Monroe Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn.
Mr. Monroe is a graduate of Harrison High School and Auburn University. He is employed by Eli Lilly and Company.
The wedding will be 5 p.m. March 30, 2013, at Golden Springs Baptist Church.
