A Jacksonville woman was being treated at a local hospital Sunday afternoon after a one-vehicle accident earlier in the day.

Jessica Covington, 35, was taken to Regional Medical Center in Anniston after her 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse left the roadway and overturned at around 1:46 p.m. on Sunday, according to a dispatcher with the Alabama State Troopers post in Jacksonville.

The wreck occurred at the intersection of Whites Gap Road and Alabama 21, and no other vehicles were involved, according to the dispatcher.

No other information was available Sunday afternoon, the dispatcher said.

An employee at RMC declined to speak about Covington’s condition Sunday, stating that the hospital does not make such information public.
