I was 6 years old at the time, which means points during that age period had to be special, experienced or tragic to recall with detail. My memory was watching the news coverage on our black-and-white TV with my mother. She was so intense, upset and crying. I have this memory of her being so hurt that it upset me. I was too young to be upset in understanding the tragedy; I was hurt because of her sadness.
