During the years we taught together, she was the epitome of what a teacher should be. She was extremely organized, yet flexible. She was always prepared and ready to teach, helping her students learn the necessary skills to become successful. More importantly, she genuinely cared about her students. She was respected by all, for she was a team player as well as an advocate for the students.
As a retired teacher, she has remained active in the community and continues to strive for ways to improve education for all students. She has the heart, the knowledge, and the desire to get things done to improve education for the children of Calhoun County. I encourage you to vote Nov. 6 for my friend, Debbie Hess, for the Calhoun County Board of Education.
