This is worth the attention of everyone. The San Francisco Chronicle invited five veterans who served in either Iraq or Afghanistan to go "out on a limb to describe their experiences becoming civilians again."

In three deployments, I went through a lot. It's cumulative; you keep putting it away. No matter how much you section off these parts of your life, they leak. You can't go through a muddy field without getting your boots a little dirty.
