Funding problems delay Etowah County highway projects

Funding problems have delayed the bid openings of two local highway projects, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation.

ALDOT officials at Thursday’s meeting of the Gadsden-Etowah Metropolitan Planning Organization said the bid opening for the five-laning of Alabama Highway 77 from Steele Station Road to Interstate 59 has been set for April 29.
