Being a businessman in several different businesses, he knows Anniston must have big changes to attract new industries and other businesses to move the city forward. Fite knows that talking about something does not accomplish goals, action will only achieve your goals.
The school system needs improvement; he has suggested a vocational program for students and he has a plan for the future. You must have a good school system for young adults to locate in Anniston for their children. Young mothers and fathers with children are not moving to Anniston; if they were, there’s a good chance some would open small businesses in one of the many vacant buildings in town.
Being a businessman, he knows you can’t spend more than you take in. Fite is one of the few people I have heard talking about fixing the merging lane from Henry Road to Veteran’s Memorial Parkway, which needs major attention. As his friend, I have witnessed many of his endeavors and know he is here to stay.
He knows that sometimes his plan is not always the best plan and you have to compromise to achieve the best goals for a better life; sometimes, other people have their own plans and two heads are always better than one. For the city government to work together again, Anniston needs a man like Fite. Let’s elect Arthur Fite councilman for Ward 4.
