Though we do not live within Anniston’s city limits and as such cannot vote in its municipal elections, we understand how important they are to the future of our entire community.
We held our breath during the most recent election and breathed a sigh of relief as Anniston voters took the first steps toward creating what we all hope will be a more effective, less-dysfunctional government for our city. In their Speak Out letter, our friends Hilda and Keener Hudson eloquently touted the qualifications of Ward 4 runoff candidate Millie Harris and reminded voters that “the process is not complete.”
We agree and are hopeful that Anniston voters will not be satisfied with the results to date, will show up at the polls on Tuesday and finish the job by electing Millie Harris as Ward 4’s City Council representative.
