While a student at Jacksonville State University, Montgomery helped start a fashion company called Lodbibo, which designed and manufactured classic ties. The ties have sold out, and Montgomery has now started a fashion and arts website called Enstyleclopedia.
Montgomery’s finds for fall include denim-washed oxidized khakis at the Gap, which look like dress pants but wear like jeans. The Gap’s modern Oxford shirt is an update on the classic dress shirt, with a more tailored fit and a thicker cloth that’s perfect for chilly nights. Montgomery also liked the Gap’s fitted hoodies, tailored so they don’t look like sweatshirts.
Fall colors are, fittingly, vibrant. Gap’s new khakis go way beyond camel with bright shades of gold, turquoise, sienna and brick. At Dillard’s, you can find neon pink ties and rich plaids from Ralph Lauren. “It’s all about color and layering,” Montgomery says.
