Deputies are investigating a report received Friday of inappropriate text messages being sent to a 15-year-old Anniston girl.

Larry Amerson, Calhoun County sheriff, said the girl’s parents filed a report Friday stating their daughter had received “text messages that are sexually explicit.” Amerson said the text messages were photos of a male suspect.

According to a report from the Sheriff’s Office, a suspect is likely to face felony charges of distributing pornography to minor.

“We’re in the process of seeking out the ownership of that particular (phone) number,” Amerson said.
