Covered "nude" protest planned for Birmingham
The Birmingham News reports that PETA will hold an interesting protest in Birmingham on Tuesday.
An announcement from the group today says the "Nude PETA beauties" will shower on the sidewalk to voice their claims that the meat industry wastes water and produces greenhouse gases. The event is being held in conjunction with Earth Day on Thursday.
But the two women won't really be nude, a spokeswoman for the group and a spokesman for the Birmingham Police Department said today.
