The Walter Wellborn High School senior high scholars’ bowl team won first-place in may at the Calhoun County annual scholars’ bowl tournament held at Jacksonville State University.

Team members with the first-place trophy include Hannah Shaw, Savanna Williams, Rebekah Williams, Kayla Haynes, Jessica Vingers and Jacob Bushey. Vingers was selected by her team members as the ‘Team All-Star.’ The coaches were Donna Vingers and Robin Woolsey.
