Charles Brockman III, 12-years-old from Plano, Texas, recently participated in the AAU Junior Olympics 2012 in Houston, Texas, where he won a gold medal in the 200 meter hurdles and a bronze medal in the 100 meter hurdles. Charles attends Hendrick Middle School and is an A-B student, mostly A's. Charles holds the school record as well as the city record for the seventh grade 110 meter hurdles. He dedicates his gold medal to his great aunt, Mrs. Demris Mason of Hobson City, who suggested he run track at an early age. He is the son of Charles Jr., formerly of Anniston and Sherry Brockman, formerly of Wichita, Kan.
