Sixteen farmers from Alabama were selected to participate in the Agriculture Leaders for Alabama (A.L.F.A.) Program, sponsored by the Alabama Farmers Federation. The group held its first leadership session July 24-26 at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Foley. A.L.F.A. leaders toured local farms, the state docks and Blakeley State Park. Meeting sessions covered the history of the American Farm Bureau and the Alabama Farmers Federation, along with an introduction to effective leadership styles.
