Jessica Crook of Alexandria was recently honored at a dinner in Montgomery where she was recognized by the Alabama Community College System and received a $1,000 academic scholarship from the All-USA Academic program.

Crook is vice-president of Phi Theta Kappa at Gadsden State Community College and serves as a tutor in biology, English and math for Student Support Services. In addition to obtaining a 4.0 grade point average, she is active with campus projects such as food drives, Toys for Tots, Read America, and Clean the Coosa.
