Since acquiring the name of the former Knoxville-based retailer, it seemed natural to open "new" Goody's stores in communities where the name is already well-known, Stage Stores said in a press release.
The release noted no specific opening date.
Stage Stores Inc. has been in retail for more than 100 years, the release said. It operates more than 750 stores in 39 states, under the Goody's, Bealls, Palais Royal, Peebles and Stage names.
