Coloring contest award winners announced

The General H. Forney Chapter No. 468 United Daughters of the Confederacy held its annual fourth-grade coloring contest at Alexandria Elementary School April 23.

Participants in the contest included left to right, Zac Tate, Ruth Sexton, historian; Ethan Clemans, fourth place; Bradley Knight, third place; Sonja Randle; Mrs. Howell accepting award for Abbey Greenwood, second place winner; Rebecca Gaston, first place; Jimmy Freeman, his granddaughter Callie Harveston, and Helen Johnson.

Participants in the contest included left to right, Helen Johnson, Wanda Tucker, Shey Clements, first place; Julia McFall, second place; Johnny Barclay, third place winner; Morgan Owen, fourth place and Ruth Sexton, chapter historian.
